FAQ

Honest answers, before you commit.

The most common Ireland & Trinity questions, answered without spin.

Am I eligible for the Stamp 1G post-study scheme?

Graduates of eligible Irish qualifications may be able to apply for the Third Level Graduate Scheme (Stamp 1G), which can allow you to remain in Ireland to seek employment after study. Eligibility depends on award level, programme and current Irish Immigration Service rules — always verify before applying.

What English score do I need?

Across these featured programs the published minimums are: IELTS 6.5–7.0 (with no band below 6.0–6.5) or TOEFL iBT 88–100, depending on programme. You may be exempt if you meet Trinity’s English language proficiency exemption requirements.

What does first-year tuition really cost?

Indicative non-EU postgraduate fees range roughly EUR 22,000–28,000+ per year across these featured programmes. Always verify with Trinity before applying.

Can I work while I study?

Eligible international students on a Stamp 2 may typically work up to 20 hours per week during term and full-time during recognised holiday periods, subject to Irish Immigration Service rules in force.

Can you compare Trinity with other Irish universities?

Yes — we give you a balanced view across Trinity College Dublin, UCD, UCC, University of Limerick and DCU so you choose with confidence, not pressure.
